Vani is an economics graduate from Hansraj College. Before joining London Business
School, she was working at Zomato as a Business Analyst. With a firm belief that "having
the right mentor can make or break your application," she helped numerous students
identify their career goals, align them with the best university fit, and support them
through the application process during her time at LBS.
Vani’s hands-on, partnership approach to counseling ensures proactive and direct
engagement with students at every step, guiding them on everything they could
potentially need to know. Her dedication to being more than just a counselor, but a true
partner throughout the journey, encapsulates the vision of UniAdvise.
Aanya graduated with an Economics degree from NMIMS University before embarking on a
career in Corporate Banking. During this time, she decided to pursue a Masters abroad
but struggled to find a counselor to support her goals. Most were simply editing student
inputs without value addition or prioritizing university partnerships over student
interests.
At London Business School, Aanya strove to become the counselor she wished she had by
thoroughly analyzing university-specific commonalities of successful admits to top
universities and identifying exactly what admissions committees look for. She devoted
her time to building the foundations of a study abroad consultancy that would cater to
every possible aspect of the application process for students applying for a
Masters—thereby making the journey as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Our journey began at the prestigious London Business School, where two friends from
Delhi embarked on a shared dream. Upon graduating with Masters degrees in our hands,
while we were overwhelmed with one year of enriching experiences, we realised how a lot
of students miss out on them because the process of applying to study abroad was often
complicated and intimidating. They are left feeling lost, wishing they had a guiding
hand through the intricacies of the application process.
As we had already navigated these hurdles, we couldn't help but think: "What if we had
someone like us to support and guide us back then?" It was this very thought that
planted the seed for UniAdvise. We envisioned a consultancy that would bridge the gap we
saw in the market.
In the existing landscape, we found two prevailing options: On one hand, there were the
large, corporate counsellors who often charged exorbitant fees while providing a
one-size-fits-all service, lacking the personal touch that each student's unique journey
deserved. On the other hand, there was the DIY route, a daunting path filled with a
myriad of complexities that students had to decipher on their own.
Recognising the opportunity to provide a more personalized and empathetic approach,
UniAdvise was born. Our goal is simple yet powerful: to serve as the steadfast support
system you need throughout your study abroad journey. When you choose UniAdvise, you're
not just hiring consultants – you're gaining dedicated partners who will work on your
applications with you.
An application to the top universities involves multiple things to be taken care of:
Through our experience at London Business School, we know exactly the kind of keywords, comprehensiveness, format, and pointers they are looking for! We don’t only completely transform your CV to market you well, but we also add content to your profile in multiple ways.
Some schools prefer an academic LOR, while some seek a professional one. Having researched well into this through students in top unis across the world, we offer full support in drafting a standout LOR. From selecting your recommender to drafting the LOR.
These are probably the most important part of the application. Most counsellors in India have no clue about what the adcoms really want to read and they simply improve the language of the stuff you submit in. This is an issue that 100% of our friends at LBS faced and a prime motivation of us starting this consultancy. We sit for hours to make your story line make sense and impressive. Multiple edits, continuous suggestions, reviews from a panel of experts until all of us are satisfied with the essays. Even the smallest of the blank in the application form is our responsibility, you won’t ever be alone in anything. On an average, top universities have atleast 5 essays. Hence, doing a brief research by checking the university website and simply talking to 2-3 alums won’t make the cut.
